every song on this album was made with the same drum pattern and piano loop yet each one is super distinct as the distortion and mixing changes. it was executively produced by mica levi who did the soundtrack for zone of interest and jackie. to me it feels like walking home from the club at 2 am sort of drunk with the reverbs from the speakers and your half-formed thoughts still ricocheting in your head.
somehow bridges the gap between noisy and hazy but also melodic and really well composed. Betrayed in the Octagon, Format & Journey North, and Zones Without People are my favs
I absolutely adore the whole album and think it’s a masteripiece, it’s just sosmething about these 3 songs in a row specifically i can’t stooop. Don’t know if it’s about the flawless transitions or the way the panned the synths here or the cohesive theme, but just aaaa :,)
this record was lifechanging for me, ittakes speed and aggression and wraps it up in every emotion and a rainbow of sonic colors to make something powerful and unique for those who can tap into a full range of their emotions
