or A Little to the Left maybe Cult of the Lamb which is kind of a macabre version of Animal Crossing (but more video game-y) Dorfromantik - use tiles to build a village, there’s even an option to remove the game aspects and just build Townscaper - point and click town building with very few options to complicate things These are very good recs btw

a nice little virtual way to have a goal, solve a set of problems, or enter another world. focusing in can dissipate bad thoughts and make your mind a clean slate by the end of a session. bonus points for difficult games bc they tend to really make the day fly by games i like for these kinda days: Unpacking - a game where you organize the contents of the main character's boxes into various houses she moves into throughout her life. very relaxing and pretty addicting Cuphead - very difficult game but if you're looking to make a day pass, it's easy to spend hours on it throwing yourself at its bosses over and over Celeste - another game that's as rewarding as it is difficult. could replay these levels forever probably Pikmin 4 (or any of em) - another cozy option that gives you a great sense of accomplishment and lots of little goodies to collect Peggle - a classic Minecraft - another time-killing classic, especially if you plan out a nice big project

I live in Chicago! Depending on where you're staying, there's a bunch of cool things to do as Chicago is a city of neighborhoods. Wicker Park and Logan Square are popular neighborhoods to check out and they're on the cheaper end. California Clipper, Rainbo Club, and Common Decency are bars that are worth checking out. I know that Common Decency has a happy hour 4-6pm 7 days a week. If you're into movies, check out the Music Box Theatre! It's a 95 year old arthouse movie theatre in the Southport Corridor/Lakeview neighborhood that shows independent and second run films. Speaking of Lakeview, Clark Street is pretty popular if you're going to check out Wrigley Field! There are bars up and down the block so you won't need to walk far to find a place to drink at for cheap. If you need any more ideas or recommendations, let me know!
