I can't tolerate pasteurized diary at all really, so raw milk has been great for me. I also think it tastes better, but you just have to make sure it's coming from a trustworthy farm.

At this point 70% of my personality is raw milk - procuring it, drinking it, taking photos of it with pithy little captions like “night cap!”,  talking about it to other people against their will, like on dates or to like trapped baristas at Starbucks. As someone of formerly lactose intolerant experience, I am not exaggerating when I say raw milk has VITALLY improved my existence. Besides the fact that it has something like 70% more available vitamins in it than pasteurized milk (I keep an infographic of this on my phone because I’m a girl and can’t be expected to remember numbers and science) it has all its natural enzymes for digestion which means not only can I party on as much raw milk and cheese as I want, the enzymes in those also digest regular bootleg ass milk, cheese, ice cream etc. I love you so much raw milk!!!

we always had raw milk at home when i was a kid, as it was bought from neighbors with a cow. it didn't seem out of the ordinary and no one felt bad, but i never liked it because of the weird smell

This is specifically for NYC people. In Ridgewood Queens there is a hole in the wall high quality chocolate shop. It’s run by an eccentric and amazing man named Constantine and his wife. He will talk your ear off for a half an hour about “the benefits” of chocolate and how it’s a panacea for pretty much everything. How big chocolate gives away most of the cocoa butter to the cosmetic industry. He’ll also talk to you about how he asks ChatGPT about chocolate and it’s wrong a lot of the time. You’ll then buy a bar even though it’s small and $10. But you will go home and have a little piece after dinner and never taste chocolate the same way again…

I did it this morning, meditated, read a short story, watched the sun rise, and then got to work!
