i used to do a lot of interesting designs, not matching my nails to my clothes, but just picking a cool design as a stand-alone unit but i got tired of doing all these designs and wasting my money (in ukraine people are literally obsessed with nails, and it began to feel like a socially forced), and i've been with natural nails for a year now

it’s fun! it’s an artsy, creative outlet; you get to create your own designs and stare at them once you wear them. feels so satisfying 🫶🏼 now that i have more nail supplies, i feel like i’m able to make nail designs that i actually want to wear without booking an appt or trying to buy press ons in store/online. it’s a hobby that i can see myself continuing.

Recently i decided to try press-ons as a way to protect my nails from myself and manage the impulse to pick (#bfrbgang), but didnt know i would be having sooo much fun getting in touch with a sense of glamour and experimenting with femininity in a way i hadn’t before :)

I used to be a compulsive nail biter, and I wanted to stop but needed a creative way to do it. So I decided to make them an art project. It helps me not bite them because I don’t want to ruin all the hard work I’ve done. I have to keep up with them and sharpen them about once a week. It also makes it easier to open packages, which is great.

just think of other situations from the past (maybe other breakups), back then it hurt, but now you're ok with it. it'll be the same this time

i've met most of the people in my life, including my boyfriend, thanks to my hobbies. i'm passionate about few intellectual games (hardly their names are known in other countries), which have their own wide community
