the word in spanish feminicidio is relatively new, even though the violent death of women for reasons of gender has been roaming since so many centuries the Mexican government introduced this word to their penal system back in 2007. this book tells us the story of Liliana, Cristina’s sister (author) which was victim of a feminicide in 1990. This book reunites the exhaustive point of view from Cristina trying to get justice for her little sister in Mexico City, narrated beautifully, it gathers texts written from Liliana, her friends and family. It’s a painful odyssey about how the Mexican government is inefficient on gender issues since forever. This book is amazing, it’s tough, it’s going to make you cry because it brings you closer to Liliana, as if she was your friend. I recommend this all along #JusticiaParaLiliana
