short horror novella about a group of friends who decide to spend the night in an old Japanese mansion. Pretty creepy atmosphere and imagery. Overall a very enjoyable little novel that got me out of a slump after Christmas.

Top notch haunted house story. Will have you checking the dark corners in your house and wondering what those weird noises coming from the cellar are. I literally could not read it before bed because i was too scared to turn out the lights lmao.

Some horror-y, some thriller-y, some ive rec’d elsewhere on here: -the wasp factory, iain banks (!!) -fever dream, Samanta schweblin (!!) -I’m thinking of ending things, Iain reed -out, natsuo kirino -the faces, tove ditlevsen -Eileen, otessa moshfegh -we have always lived in the castle, Shirley jackson None are too gory but i did find out and the wasp factory to be more disturbing personally. theyre manga so not traditional novels, but I read through both Tomie and Uzumaki by junji ito a couple years back, and they’re deliciously creepy, scary, a little gross.

I got this book as a gift from a dear friend and went in not knowing much and its what kind of brought me back into really loving reading. idk if it counts as a short book but its definitely not long lol. I can only recommend it especially for people who enjoy reading classics and gothic literature

My friend Liam got sent these by accident when he ordered vans and gave them to me since they sent him size 13. These shoes are goofy and I don't know who would buy them but I wear them all the time because I think they're really fun and have a lot of character.

I find that sleeping resets my brain and helps me decide whether I actually want to make a decision. Even a nap has helped me be at peace with my decisions and decide what to do next.
