hear me out, i used to read a lot as a kid but i stopped as i grew up (prob cuz i was addicted to youtube/tiktok). But recently i started re-reading the 'diary of a wimpy kid' and 'Holes' on the bus and it kinda reminded me of why i loved it as a kid. You can get them second hand for cheap and sometimes for free at the library. Just an idea to get u started !! 📖

Call it inner-child work or label it self-soothing, but I’ve found solace in revisiting the books I loved as a kid and teen. I recently loaded up my e-reader with a charming selection of these books and have loved reading them in bed. Highly recommend making a list of the books you used to love and indulging yourself in them.

specifically rereading my favorite books from when i was little has been huuuuge for me and for getting out of ruts lately. even if i go back and it’s actually bad now that i‘m older it’s so fun and silly to remember whatever it was about the book i really loved (and also sometimes they’re still really good which is even better bc it reminds you of your core taste!!!)

It can take you right back and remind you of why you started to love reading in the first place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ i love feijoas so so much, they're this delicious fruit that is insanely popular here in Aotearoa/NZ, people grow the bushes as hedges and between April and June the feijoas will be everywhere. it reminds me of the autumn school holidays, right before the weather turns to shit, where it's sunny but not super hot. my DNA is prob 70% feijoa by now just by how many i have consumed, no joke, they're my favorite thing ever!!! just watch out for the sour ones (and the worms😖) haha.

haha yess i love just saying random foods instead of cursing like "coconuts", "sugar" or the classic "cheese and crackers", even though it sounds kinda goofy XD
