She lives in the city and I love going up to her apt to flip through my family history in a scrapbook on her bookshelf. My grandpa + grandma were big travelers. She was from Switzerland he was from Egypt. I think their zest for life shines through the pics taken of them

Grandparents

i’m lucky enough still have a grandmother in my mid 30s—which I think is an age where you’re settled enough to finally get to know your adult family members on a personal level. The generation gap definitely means I’m always on my toes when we hang out cos I can never predict what she’s gonna do, but she’s funny and wise, makes friends wherever she goes, doesn’t give af, is a mean cook, can do quiet company like no one else, and loves me to smithereens.

The antrim coastline

Go to Northern Ireland and just wander down the Antrim coast (take a hat, take all your warm clothes). There are ruins of castles, cliffs and waterfalls and whales and seals and Iron Age forts grown over with gorse. it’s the most peaceful and wild and savage place in the world
