Seven years of veganism really set me back! Wow, chicken is so good, but specifically rotisserie. When I broke veganism, I really just stuck with fish, eventually branching out to red meat and the occasional chicken sandwich. Despite my newfound love for meat, I respect vegans and their efforts. Whatever makes you feel good, I’m all for it. I do think PETA does a little too much, but I think that’s a widely accepted opinion. Doesn’t every cause have a loud group like that, tarnishing their reputation? Anyway, this is all just to say, I had rotisserie chicken for dinner today and it was so good. I hope everyone else had a great dinner.

I stopped eating meat when I was about 12 years old and was a vegetarian and vegan for 10 years after that until I decided! I didn’t want to do it anymore and that’s okay 🫶 I’m allowed to make choices that feel right for me, without guilt or shame or moralizing. There’s already enough in life to carry—and I must say that I love to eat :-) (Parallel rec with much love and respect: being vegan if that’s what you want to do 💖)

fun fact: I used to be a vegan. Although one of my favorite restaurants— this sweet & veeeery delicious family-owned Vietnamese spot— definitely has meat on the menu, I still order the vegan bowl pretty much every time I go back. One, because it slaps even harder than the regular pork one, and two… girl, you already know I’m sentimental. I find it oddly comforting that I can come back to a place that hasn’t changed at all in the same time that I went from being a freshman regular to seeing them again on doordash as I’m crafting a senior project that… literally revolves around change. #funny but not funny haha funny weird #liminal space #I’m kinda freaked out but this is mad tasty #I would add a picture but it’s already been demolished #rip baddie #ok bye #also I should make a post about hashtags #ok bye fr

I did it and I’ll tell ya, didn’t have one tummy trouble all month. I feel GOOD. I‘ve decided to stick with it because I’ve kinda been enjoying life with no tummy troubles. Although I do miss pizza dearly. 💔 But I feel good, and that’s what really matters….right? 🤷

I like what I like and I like doing things myself (Virgo). Every birthday, for the last few years, I have been making my own birthday cake and I have been loving it. This is a vanilla cake with blackberry jam, lemon curd, and mascarpone whipped cream. To celebrate my 23rd birthday, I had an intimate dinner party with my family, friends, and my boyfriend. It was a gorgeous time.

I love slow Sundays at the museum. I love seeing the families, the older couples, the new lovers. I love listening in on their conversations. Some are planning their lunch. Others are connecting their lives to the exhibits. It’s beautiful! When I eventually get bored, I roam around and find the museum cat, Stevie.
