I always loved Julia so much. An inappropriate amount. Eight years old and thinking I love her I love her I love her. This book is all I could've wanted and more. Newman writes trauma (and traumatized sexuality, traumatized friendship, traumatized moment to moment, traumatized day by day) better than almost anyone I've read. No soulless reboot or IP pandering here. Simply storytelling. Love for the work and love for women. Julia was always real to me and I'm so grateful.
