my philosophy is writing everything out so i have to rely on my brain to remember as little as possible. i have a planner for scheduling and a tiny notebook for thoughts and written to do lists. ticktick is for my digitial to do lists, which i organize for homework and individual projects and just things happening in my day. i got it because other apps asked too much of me and this one lets me pick the color it is and simply make lists with a nice ding sound when you check something off. amazing feeling. I also love setting a reminder so an alarm literally goes off at me when something needs to happen. again, i try to make these things do the work of remembering for me

the shortage/me feeling like normal spongebob on adhd meds had me set up a whole system otherwise i would be a hot mess handwritten paper planner - pref one with a weekly timeline because i love seeing it laid out in full. this is 50% me just wanting to decorate and use fun stationary and 50% knowing if i dont write it down/see it laid out- i will forget </3 digital calendar/reminders - for the big stuff!! Anything reoccurring that may slip my mind, color coded based on whats going on ie, work shifts, reoccurring plans w friends, personal time for hobbies, i also have a bunch of reminders that try to get me to sleep/keep me on track and its been the best, i luv that includes travel time too and will remind me 15-30 mins in advance of when i need to leave bc i love to get wrapped up/ lose track of time and run out of the door

This is Tweek: the best planner app I have ever used!!! I'm one of those people who can't get anything done without a list to cross things off of. Tweek is great because it's super minimalist, free to use, and most importantly really AESTHETICALLY PLEASING!!! The basic functions are a daily calendar, which you can add tasks to. Tasks can be different colors, and when you finish them you can cross them off your list. Unfinished items will be immediately moved to the next day, and you can set reminders for timed tasks!! I probably went through at least six mediocre planner apps before I found this one. If you love simple, cute lists, you're going to LOVE Tweek!!!

I use notion for organising my university work, shopping lists, monthly goals, etc. For day to day tasks I use Microsoft todo. Not only does it make a really satisfying noise when you tick things off, it’s also really handy for me in a morning to get everything I need to do for the day physically written dow instead of it being stuck in my head. Also writing down small, easy tasks can help me to feel more productive with my day even if the task is just making lunch or having a shower. Google Calendar is also my saviour. Super easy to use and makes everything all organised. My friends and I even have our calendars synced, which helps organising plans with them so much easier Not sure if this is of any use either but I also keep a spending diary so I can stay on top of my finances. I find it’s really helpful for me to physically write that down in a diary and at the end of every week work out how much money can get put into my savings. Staying on top of it all is the key!

The last time I bought new glasses, a few months ago, I went to a store and tried on a million different frames for like a half hour. By the end of my try-on montage, I had a pile of glasses set aside, yet I chose the first pair I tried on, the ones I spotted as soon as I walked in the store. I pointed this out to the worker, laughing, and he proceeded to say something so profound: He was like, "yeah, everyone does that. No one trusts that their first instinct was right". Is that not jaw-dropping? Everyone does that? I carry this story around like a personal fable and now rec saving stress and time by going with your first instinct, it's literally probably right.

Reframing any horrible ordeal as an ego killing opportunity to cleanse my soul or something… no drugs needed just putting yourself out there to be scrutinized, that’s probably good for us, right?
