Puzzle platformer from 2016 that’s so pretty and cinematic. Sound design is great, cool camera/scale effects throughout the game.
It’s kind of a wild story with fun mechanics along the way and the ending is insanely fun.

Immortality-more horror/mystery. you scrub through footage of a movie star and things get weird, fast. really unique storytelling, great acting. don't want to say anything else to avoid any spoilers!
Return of the Obra Dinn-detective/puzzle. you move through time and memories on the once lost merchant ship Obra Dinn and uncover a wild and twisted story. super detailed, extremely addictive in my experience, really unique graphics. it's like an interactive comic book with the most satisfying reveals and discoveries.
Honorable mentions: Strange Horticulture, Gris (all time fav platformer), Void Crew (more of a strategy game than a story game but fun to play with friends)

Crazy cool platformer/puzzle/FPS hybrid with an incredible soundtrack from Machine Girl that’s slightly horny and a little campy. I just started another playthrough and it’s just as good as the first time.

“A quirky twin-stick shooter with a unique hand-drawn style”
A new indie game developed my a tiny LA team. It Has such unique gameplay and some of the most gorgeous art style that I do have to recommend it, but with a large warning that it is still incredibly glitchy and often very frustrating. The developers are continuously updating and improving it though so I have hopes that it will one day be a much smoother gameplay and quality of life. It is quite unlike anything I’ve played before in terms of its game mechanics, and it encourages exploration and intuition which I really love.

I’ve had excellent results using sub irrigated planters - the linked vid gives an explanation of the concept and details of how to build.
I made 6 on my roof in BK using standard storage bins, working well for three growing seasons so far.
