groups of people driving 1/3 of the way across the globe from the czech republic to mongolia in the cheapest, shittiest cars possible. these videos tend to have a real “the true journey was the friends we made along the way” type of vibe that I find heartwarming. a nice antidote to sanitized aspirational travel influencer content. linking my favorite but there are many different groups who have vlogged their trip!

I haven’t actually DONE this yet, but I love the idea. It’s a miami trip on hard mode. unmarked roads and poor infrastructure, no knowledge of the Language, completely landlocked (no escape), . Good luck

Not like “oh man I’m driving four hours to get to Fernie” road trips but like a

And its also 5:00am in Revelstoke and we’re about to stop at the borderline satirically named ‘La Baguette‘ for breakfast and the sun isn’t fully up but you can see the mountains”

pretty sure i saw someone on here rec a clock radio instead of a phone alarm... now i don't open my eyes and immediately look at my phone and instead enjoy the classical and jazz from the college radio station in the morning. yes this ancient beast has a terrible speaker but the form factor is unrivaled
