Witty, satirical takes in a fantasy setting, almost always punching up. World building is unmatched, doesn't handhold but gives context through funny footnotes. Beautiful, flawed, and deeply "human" characters that organically change their perspectives and grow. Cannot say enough good things about these books, you'll laugh and you'll cry. Personal favorite is Small Gods 100/10

Great high fantasy series. Does such a good job world building and putting characters in genuinely interesting circumstances. Plus, thereโs like 20 books so you can stay in the world.

This a great book on many levels, it looks at the history of cigarettes in popular culture and society. Klein explores it on a deeper level, looking at the way humans love to dance on the edge of danger and how we process death as well as the association of danger with allure. An interesting mix of absurdism and nihilism. Pretty quick read, 8/10.
