Rec'd on 📻 how did you listen to music when you were a kid
I had a Barbie car
With a built-in CD player and i would play whale sound and healing ambient music CDs in it while i took baths in the dark. I also had a normal CD player and I think a boom box type situation but the Barbie car was my preference

chef_goldblum there was so much beauty whimsy and wonder and so much pain and suffering but it all turned out great in the end! I can take the best parts and keep them with me forever :~) 💖

Boom box
It had radio cd and tape options. I would use the radio to listen to baseball games and pretend I was living during the Great Depression (heyday of baseball). I would use the cd to listen to Tracy chapman in the dark while eating raisins. I would use the tape to listen to my Suzuki method prescribed cello homework

My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
