I forgot how nice it was to be read to. Like in real life. Especially when it’s a childhood classic, specifically Alices adventures in wonderland.

The Hobit and LOTR. The Phillip Pullman‘s His Dark Materials. V.C. Andrews (which no one that age should be reading 🤦‍♀️). Harry Potter was just taking off when I was that age, too.

THE GRIMM SERIES BY ADAM GIDWITZ
i know its a children’s book BUT HEAR ME OUT!!! it’s such a good book and if you know me then you know how much i love fantasy, especially when it’s dark fairytale based. Adam Gidwitz is an amazing author and adds a comedy element to these stories in the best way. If you’d like something quick, funny, and a little dark and quirky you’d love this series
