- a classic ham + cheese made at home on toasted bread w mustard + mayo - a really good fried chicken sandwich from anywhere - the “simon special” from Roxie Food Center in San Francisco: turkey + pastrami w melted cheddar on Dutch crunch - the “sofisticato” from sapori d’eccellenza in Ostuni, Italy: stracciatella, lemon zest, and anchovies (I think about this sandwich a lot)

Ham, roasted pork, cheese, mustard and pickles, on soft buttered bread that is pressed and grilled until crispy.
There are few sandwiches that compete at this level.
shoutouts to: The banh mi Italian sub Muffuletta - New Orleans is amazing The Reuben There’s def tons of amazing sandwiches I’m forgetting
Also gonna shout out 1. putting chips on your pb&j 2. making sure your chicken salad has the perfect ratio of chicken:Mayo:celery:nuts:grape/craisins 3. kimchi grilled cheese

Chicken salad sandwich from the hippie health store in my hometown
