when I got Spotify in high school I was really into the Velvet Underground and I loved this song in particular. It is promptly followed by the entirety of Bowie's "Blackstar", the Nirvana version of "The Man Who Sold The World", and a Weather Report song... says a lot about me in January 2016!
just heard this on SiriusXMU in my mom's car. sent a signal down my spine and all throughout my nervous system. gorgeous gorgeous song. apparently it's a live version recorded exclusively for SiriusXMU. your only two options to hear it are to stream it from the SiriusXM app/website or sit in a car with SiriusXM radio and wait, and boy oh boy is it worth the wait. need to figure out my mom's SiriusXM info immediately so i can hear this on my phone. i guess i'll just attach a link to the original but boy oh boy is this a rec for the cover.
a couple weeks ago driving from Vermont back to NYC I was listening to an episode of Theme Time Radio, Bob Dylan’s 2000s radio show, and he introduced a song by Lou Reed I’d never heard before. So it’s like Bob himself showed me this. It’s a cover of an old American standard but Lou of course makes it his own.
hbd to the greatest
so much to talk about, the sunglasses, the scarf, the fresh baguette and coffee, the always lovely cafe setting. I think this is the most swag ever captured on camera I aspire to be at this level
alright hear me out: carbonation and coffee with a squeeze of orange shouldn’t work, but it does. Been making them daily and i feel a lot better in the morning each time i do
