His motorbike, her island

Nobuhiko Obayashi is probably one of my favorite filmmakers of all time and I usually turn to his work often for comfort. This one in particular fills me such a beautiful ache of nostalgia and longing. The use of color to illustrate the dreamy nature of love and lives lived is gorgeous. I genuinely think this is a film everyone needs to see

What a gorgeous film, and the perfect length (100 mins). Not one for anyone who can’t handle immense longing and/or yearning. Soundtrack slaps.

i'm a sweaty gal and i get real self conscious and won't wear certain clothes in the summer to prevent the dreaded p*t st*ins. maybe this is just a non-man thing, i feel like when dudes are sweaty it's a desirable and masculine trait. a lot to unpack there!
