Honestly same and i also read so much more quickly than the pace they read at but listening to them on 2x or 3x speed is also a weird experience. There was a hot minute where I got into them listening to really shitty murder mysteries and started enjoying it but it all came crashing down when I tried to graduate to something with some substance and listen to The Shards by BEE and I accidentally skipped forward with my finger. I couldnโ€™t find where I left off and was so enraged i havenโ€™t really listened to one since (great audiobook though, beautiful audiobook and listening to him read it is worth it)

Have pridefully avoided these forever...scoffed at the lazy scum who choose to listen to a book rather than read one. However....my tune has changed...my crow has been eaten....my table has turned.... I just can't get enough of it now. It doesn't replace reading an actual book, but it definitely beats most podcasts.

i am usually a physical book person but i recently started listening to marina abramovic's memoir via audiobook and her voice narrating it is soooo fucking good (i did a free trial on https://www.audiobooks.com/ )

in: โ€” siesta โ€” herbed yogurt โ€” working hardest in the morning and leaving the evening for leisure โ€” writing postcards to your long-distance friends, exclusively in cursive (if you werenโ€™t taught to write in cursive, the time to learn will be now) โ€” big boobs (cultural Catholicism will prevail again baby)
