Giving my favorite clothes the justice and honor they deserve by wearing them until I literally cannot anymore
(or maybe I’m just stubborn)

Once I realized no one cares what I’m wearing (except for me) I was delighted to find out I could just wear my favorite clothes over and over and over again

chlonline and then it gets even better once people start recognizing your favorites as “classic Chloe“ wardrobe items. It’s like an extra bit of personality gets added to the garments

I love being an outfit repeater. I love when my clothes start to feel roomy & slouchy. I love when I notice the fabric color fading. I love when my jeans fray & the denim starts to break open on the knees. I love it when my clothes show that i’ve lived.

I love clothes that look like they have been well loved,, like a bag that has some rips and tears but still does its job because it was well made and I was passed down from someone’s mom

1.) get so attached to your clothes, I mean only buy shit you are jazzed about and plan on having forever
2.) wear your clothes, wear and tear and patina and softness and broken-in-ness are beautiful, usually
3.) sashiko style mending as seen here, looks great and you'll feel even more attached to your clothing

These are those unplanned, worn-in trails that come into existence from consistent use over time. I like how they represent a record of the way humans and animals interact with their environment, with some being wide and well travelled while others are overgrown and don’t see that much use; each one has a story! I think they’re a cool example of the ways in which we unintentionally shape nature while it shapes us right back. So take that desire path and push back against infrastructure imposed upon you (if you want).
I also just think Desire Path is a beautiful combination of words.
