The half of Women that isn’t Cindy Lee. Which kind of reads like divorce proceedings: Cindy got the melodies, Preoccupations got the post-punk angst. This is one SUPER fucked up video: David Koresh, Jonestown, Rajneeshpuram, L. Ron Hubbard. Heaven’s Gate. It’s like a visual catalog of cult-induced catastrophe. But it matches the band’s on-their-last-nerve steez, hardly a stretch for a group with songs like “Anxiety,“ “Pointless Experience” and “Death” already in its catalog. If the B-52s were doing collabs with Bauhaus back in the day, it might come out sounding like this. 🖤
