i've also never had a bad time at the sticky rice bar (spirit house) on a friday or saturday night...call me crazy but if u take me to prado, i WILL be making us abandon our coveted table in lieu of a seat at the sticky rice bar!!!
I am a nut for Wes Anderson, and this bar, inspired by the hotel lobbies of his films, feels like something I conjured up in a dream. I wish I lived in Toronto so I could drink here all the time. The amaretto sour on their specials menu was somehow my favorite drink Iโve ever ordered, my boyfriend got a no-holds-bar sazerac (he ranked it 3rd best in the world), and my best friend had the tame impala (sheโs a sucker for chai).
If you see me taking the 8 hour drive up to Toronto this summer exclusively to drink here again, mind your own business (or join)
This place was recommended by the bouncer of another bar lol. Excellent cocktails with varying ABVs, and really good food. I became their stan and went twice in one week.
iconic strip club in los feliz/east hollywood (actually it's a bikini bar which means it's more burlesque and they're allowed to serve alcohol). it's small and divey and the dancers pick their own music from a jukebox. courtney love used to dance there!!!
i went with some friends a couple sundays ago and it was one of my favorite nights in la. one of the dancers was doing magic tricks and another climbed to the top of the pole and hung like a crucifix while dressed as a bunny (it was easter sunday)
