I bought a 2001 Honda Accord for $1000 in 2015 and it was the greatest experience of my life. Nothing hits quite like the adrenaline felt when your car stalls at 60 MPH northbound on the taconic state parkway.

I bought a 2006 Acura TL a little over a year ago for $1000. Me and my dad had to put a little work into it but I love early 2000s luxury sports cars - it’s super fast, has a moonroof and only plays CDs and Cassettes, no AUX - which has led me to start buying CDs again. I love going to a thrift stores and finding Smashing Pumpkins or Alice In Chains or some shit for super cheap.

🚗i was so lucky to drive my dads red 1967 camaro to school. i really cant believe he trusted a 17 year old to not completely total it. many a memory taking my friends off campus for lunch, leaving the lights on and having to beg someone for a jump, and cruising around the burbs scream-singing to katy perry and black eyed peas.

🚙I remember when i was 9 years old at the honda dealership in tenafly new jersey with my parents buying it. that was the first time i tasted coffee. now, the fit has 138k miles and it’s still going strong (VTEC engines often go 300k+ if we’ll maintained). i’ve made it clear to my parents that when they’re done with it, i want it.

☄️Last Thursday, a meteor appeared in the night sky over Los Angeles. I stood in place for 30 seconds watching it blaze brilliant red and orange before fizzling out suddenly. The experience moved me immensely and filled me with a sense of hope that I hadn’t felt in quite some time. I read later that it was a SpaceX satellite. I wish I hadn’t.

I have done this everywhere that I have lived. There are some beautiful images lost on the discarded blank face of a postcard, and they deserve to be cherished just as much as the big piece of art you have framed in your living room. You can find many for cheap at your local thrift. There’s a lot of fun to be had in grouping different images together for a collage effect. Space them out a bit more if it all feels a bit claustrophobic. Use some blue painter's tape for a pop of color.
