kicking off the movie with alvin & the chipmunks straight into oogum boogum songâŚ.. fictional song feverdog by fictional band stillwaterâŚ.. my cherie amour playing while penny lane gets her stomach pumped??? simply does NOT get any better than this. must listen to the full playlist with all songs used in the movie, not just the official soundtrack.

is this the best fake album ever made for a movie? it is to me. i listen to this album all the time. it's peak 2000s rock. 3 small words is my favorite. kay henley's voice is so good and even the two dujour songs rip. actually this is just a good ass movie that was unjustly hated on. parker posey and alan cumming chew up every scene they're in. i love it and more people should revisit it for a fun time.
the vinyl will always be my white whale since it was only a super limited run.

soooo many good songs on this soundtrack, and several of the musicians make cameos in the film to "perform" diegetically.
in particular, Caroline Polachekâs Starburned and Unkissed is a killer standout track, and it is deployed with absolute precision in the movie itself
