I've been a novice birdwatcher for a while now, but it's time to get serious. I recently discovered that Tennessee's wildlife resource website has the best profiles on all of the birds here. A discovery within that discovery is the language that ornithologists and other bird nerds use to transcribe bird vocalizations. They've got a whole bank of syllables and everything!
