my mom used to play credence clearwater revival when i was in eleme school in the red 850 volvo, it wasn’t until some 3 years ago i learned one of my favorite songs was a cover by lead belly. :)
I’ve been getting super into The Bee Gees, Todd Rundgren, Marvin Gaye, etc the last few years. It’s really fun to play them for my mom and hear her talk about how she danced to Fanny (Be Tender With My Love) at her prom etc.
by Sarah Mclaughlan. I apparently used to ask my mom to put on the “la la la” song and she would pop this bad boy in. for some reason this cinematic soundtrack was the version we had and i think i'm better for it honestly.
which was mostly her own music ! i genuinely cannot think of an album that got me into music nor knew that was a thing, music has always been so abundant in my life 😭
