I’ve been using Midjourney to create art related to my journal entries. Adding this visual component has motivated me to be more consistent with my journaling. 10/10

This is a pretty easy and meditative practice that helps ground me and makes me feel productive while allowing me to take stock of all that is actually going on with me. Lately I have felt really absent and tapped out of my own life, really stuck, but journaling allows me to realize that there’s actually tons of shit going on, things are constantly changing, and the future holds so much. I also have silenced the voice in my head that insists I am not a visual artist so I can’t make collages and stuff, and I have unleashed the collage monster within. It is so fun and relaxing to cut and paste and glue in your journal- it makes the journal itself feel more lived in, fuller, it adds texture… and it also stokes my crow-like inclination to collect scraps because now the scraps have meaning! Collage nights with friends are also super fun and pure. You can use prompt generators to guide you, or just freestyle. I’ve had little collage sessions with friends when we are all feeling depressed and directionless etc, and I’ve noticed we come away from it feeling more centered and optimistic and at peace. This was a long rambling post, and I’m putting off working right now, but maybe this will help!

to lend my life an air of romance, I make sure to document all memories big and small. I personally have been journaling on a notion page I made that no one else can see (just because I like typing and it makes adding photos so much easier), but am thinking of switching to a physical journal to be even more romantic. I don’t think you can feel like your life has magic in it if you lack a coherent narrative and journaling does just that.

I've realized that I have a hard time accomplishing the goals I want to because I don't actually verbalize them. Journaling has been a great way to record my thoughts in a concrete space, process feelings, and conceptualize goals. I HIGHLY recommend https://www.fivehundredwordsaday.com/. Feels so accomplishing and you can reflect on previous entries to see how far you've come.

The title pretty much says it all. The other day I ate some cherries and made quite a mess hehe. I stained many paper towels. I watched as the juice slowly bled out into the fibers. Soothing. Tasty. Delightful.

So far I’ve only asked myself this question but I think it could make a good conversation starter. My current list is - Mixed greens (sneaking herbs in too cause there aren’t any strictly enforced rules, sneak away!) - HIGH quality farm to belly butter and ghee - Fresh eggs If we can switch it up seasonally (and we can) I‘d switch out greens for stone fruit in the summer months. what are your top 3? Hmm and maybe you get an extra food for your birthday month.

I recently came across an eBay listing of my fav vintage Sandy Lion fuzzy cat stickers. Instead of buying a pack I used the photo to make digital versions and I’m sending them to friends left & right! It’s truly been a joy to frequently look at something so nostalgic and adorable.
