bittermeloncharm haha count yourself lucky! Would so much rather not have the meetings (although this specifically is a management training a contact invited me to attend for the price of free, so can’t complain!)

Doing a puzzle every day

In my workplace (academic) commonroom there is this little daily puzzle thing where you have to use tiles to show the day's date. I try to spend a few minutes on it every day. It's amazing what good a little puzzle can do when my work is frustrating me.

Community Puzzles

I’m a puzzle lover, and also someone that often is taking trips with groups of people. On one of the earlier trips with my group of friends, somebody brought along a puzzle. It was so enjoyable throughout the week to work on it as I pleased, being able to chat with different friends each time. It is now something I tend to bring when I know I’m going to be spending a good amount of time somewhere. It is the perfect activity to set up on a table out of the way and casually work on. People ebb and flow as they want, usually when a little down time is needed. It is a collective effort that doesn’t require so much focus that you can’t talk and joke around while you’re doing it. It is always very exciting and the puzzle finally gets finished, and we all celebrate together.

DOING CROSSWORD PUZZLES AT WORK

my coworkers and I have started doing crossword puzzles at work when it’s slow. It’s so fun and it feels a lot better than doom scrolling on our phones!!
we started with the local newspaper but we‘ve since upgraded to buying this book…
