TATYANa, 'down bad'

It's Friday so I am actively seeking "moving my ass into the weekend" music. I heard it first on the Seattle station KEXP, 90.3 in the city and KEXP.org worldwide. KEXP is also a great place for music discovery when you're burnt out or looking for inspiration and connection to community. Lots of my forever-favorites but also incredible diversity on the playlists and musical programming; the station has an Afropop show, a diaspora of Spanish language and cultures show, multiple hip-hop shows, grassroots/Americana/blues Jamaican sounds, ambient, soul, jazz, in addition to rock of a variety of flavors (except for MOR dumbass rock, none of that). I'm on it all the time and constantly (pleasantly) surprised by what I hear there.

Hey tyler hopefully this doesn’t violate some PI.FYI golden rule But after nearly two years of writing, editing and arguing, my book about the EP is coming out in May and can be preordered here: https://hozacrecords.com/product/aifl/ The book is about the origins, history and cultural impact of the EP since these little objects first started coming out in the 50s.
