This song came on the radio yesterday and I saved it. Was walking home from the park and it came on as the sun was setting on this Glorious Day in New York. It’s so different from anything the algo’d daylist was feeding me. It’s simultaneously silly and poignant and sounds so 70‘s. Spring is here??

my favourite song surely and i have the most fondness for the jobim version — ACJ also wrote the lyrics of the english translation himself and purposefully didnt use any english words with latinate roots...i think i have that right

learned about this song from the art garfunkel version. interesting thing about it is that it has a different sort of connotation in english because march as a month indicates a coming winter in the southern hemisphere but spring/summer for the english speakers of the north

haydens shit i didn't realize this until now and that's crazy cause of course it sounds warm and fuzzy to me (march being the start of spring for most of us) but the lyrics are sooo cold in spirit!!! it makes total sense now...

a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
