I’ve been on a quest to bring back the love for a good magic show. Ever since I saw a magician at a magazine launch party a while back, I’ve been thinking about how important the art of magic is. And I need to witness a good magic show again.

🪄When I was a teenager I was obsessed with magic. I would spend countless hours learning mostly close-up tricks. When I grew up I stopped dedicating as much time into it but I still practice and can do most of the ones I did as a kid. I’m trying to figure out ways to translate the art of illusion to our live shows. I’ve done tricks on stage before but I’d like to make a proper magic segment. Probably when I learn how to saw someone in half or disappear into a puff of smoke. -Christian

🪄Watching David Blaine’s Street Magic special as a kid was a sea change moment in my life. Not so much because of the tricks or the guy doing them, but because of the looks on the people’s faces. It was the happiest I had ever seen grownups look. That pure state of childlike wonder is the thing I crave the most as an adult, and the feeling I most hope I can give to other people.

I’ve recently been looking forward to Ethel Cains youtube videos. Each video consists of her sitting in her humble home and showing the audience some type of object. Her videos range from asmr, to art book hauls. Each having a different tone and whimsical appeal to them.
In this video she is reviewing a Marsona 1200A Sound Conditiner Machine. To which was recommended to her by a viewer on one her previous videos.
She explains as she plays around with the machine and it’s tune. “ So when the surf rate is all the way up. It crashes faster, but if we turn it all the way down. It takes a little longer to reach that crest”.
