I got a gravel bike to ride in the city more comfortably in snow and rain. Alloy frame, light, lots of room for big tires, shock suspension in the stem. It’s a comfortable bike - still pretty fast but not as wiry as a fast road bike. SRAM Apex hardware, smooth shifting. Disc brakes, 12-speed (no front derailleur) Come take it for a spin in bushwick if you want, size 56 frame.

I've always been into riding bikes, but as options for things to do became a bit limited over the last year, it's become an essential activity for my mental and physical well-being. The Specialized Sequoia has been the perfect bike to get me around LA and off the pavement onto some sketchy mountain bike trails. It can even handle a jump if I'm in the mood to relive my "glory days" and deal with the fallout of eating shit. It's a bike that looks great and can take a beating if you're trying to get freaky out there — it does it all!

silly pandemic purchase where I asked a guy at the bike shop to help me order the parts and he just built it for me in exchange for a six pack. The paint job is inspired by vintage Peugeots.

I’ve had excellent results using sub irrigated planters - the linked vid gives an explanation of the concept and details of how to build. I made 6 on my roof in BK using standard storage bins, working well for three growing seasons so far.
