getting caught in the rain sans umbrella

my elementary school field trips used to somehow always end with us running back to school in the rain, and one group of boys would always run around without their umbrellas yelling “skin is waterproof!!!” i rolled my eyes at them at the time but in retrospect they made a good point!

we had a truly whimsical adventure - running through alleyways, hopping over huge puddles like we were little frogs and drying ourselves off with AC vents, just trying to get to the bar to see our favorite band. wouldn't have done it with anyone else.
