building off of another comment, volunteering is a great way to get into festivals or events for free. music festivals, conventions, beer fests, film fests, all of it. i love volunteering because it’s easy to help out when you get a free pass to an otherwise super expensive festival

i love volunteering so much. i have probably twice as much volunteer experience as i do work experience, but i don’t even care. i volunteer at music festivals, beer festivals, food festivals, nursing homes, campus tours, academic clubs, social clubs, search and rescue, literally anywhere i can get in i will do it. bonus points if i get free stuff from it (like meals on my shift or all-access tickets to said festival)

in 2022 i went to like 30 shows & most were free. join the street team for your favorite concert venues. all you have to do is post on social media or put posters up in your city. then bam they give you free tickets. there’s a lot of other ways to go to concerts for free but you’ll have to pm me.

even if shit continues to hit the fan, pretty much everyone ends up exactly where they’re supposed to be. you will find a place to live, a job, a lover, friends, etc. just keep going and it will be ok.
