i grew up listening to a lot of classic country

my faves are: johnny cash - ring of fire, a boy named sue, folsom prison blues (live version), i walk the line. roger miller - king of the road, little green apples, dang me, atta boy girl. buck owens - act naturally. patsy cline - crazy. jimmy dean - big bad john. tennessee ernie ford - sixteen tons. don gibson - oh, lonesome me. glen campbell - rhinestone cowboy, wichita lineman. charley pride - is anybody goin' to san antone? tanya tucker - delta dawn, what's your mama's name child? bobby bare - green green grass of home. david allan coe - you never even called me by my name, if this is just a game. marty robbins - el paso, big iron. tammy wynette - stand by your man.

i also love johnny cash etc but since u already know him here are some of my other fav SAD country/folk songs crying (with roy orbison), a case of you (cover), and bird on a wire by k.d. lang thoroughfare & everytime by ethel cain dead of night and winds change by orville peck fast car, the promise, and telling stories by tracy chapman space cowboy, deeper well, and arm’s length by kacey musgraves i hope i never fall in love again by maren morris closer to fine, don’t think twice it’s all right, and land of canaan by indigo girls
