Comparing this song with something like "She Belongs to Me" ("she's got everything she needs, she's an artist, she don't look back") or "4th Time Around" (“I never took much, I never asked for your crutch so don't ask for mine") is pretty devastating. Pennebaker's film "Don't Look Back" is about as devastating a peek at a future breakup as we're likely to see; Dylan is horrible to Baez at every turn and obviously done with her and their relationship by that point (in fact, his future wife Sara was kind of lurking in the background unseen throughout the filming of that UK tour).
