In elementary school my best friend and I made up a religion where the deity is a tree in the school yard. We’d go to the tree and pray for good grades and bad luck to the girl we did not like. At the end of each prayer, we’d say “sasasasa” as an amen, an onomatopoeia of sand flying from a gust of wind.

sat in the grass at the park yesterday & noticed this guy all alone sitting next to me as I was busily drawing the scene around us 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳 pinecones are an ancient symbol of enlightenment, knowledge, regeneration, & immortality. used across many cultures over the course of history, it’s even seen as a massive monument in the Vatican as well as carved into the Pope’s staff. They represent our pineal gland (which is literally pinecone shaped), or what many believe to be our Third Eye. Conifer trees are one of the most ancient plants on Earth & A pinecones’ spines are in a perfect fibonacci sequence in each direction. This is a rabbit hole i rlly love i could go on & on if i could nestle & nap inside a pinecone, i would. Anyway I brought the little guy home w me

Not on purpose.. but don’t sweat it when it happens by accident.. it’ll dry quickly enough, then the paper will harden into a crispily wrinkled texture that is so nice to flip through. ok if you must do it on purpose.. drink from an iced beverage on top of your notebook and dew from the surface of the glass will drop down nicely.

(slight spoiler) I love to watch Phantom Thread when I’m sick. The music and imagery are beautiful and not abrasive, everyone speaks softly with precision, most of all watching Daniel Day-Lewis suffer from illness alongside me is very comforting.

I’ve only seen it once at the airport. It was an image of trees in the fall with no text.
