a group of kids are left to their own devices one summer in the near future while their parents refuse to acknowledge an approaching hurricane. it's not a super long book, and very very readable. as a person who grew up aware of the climate crisis from a very young age, it spoke to a lot of those anxieties. and it's just really good at the end of the day!
