I use Twitter like an open mic for silly thoughts. I’ve never had a meaningful conversation on it, nor do I care to, and the whole set-up seems to enable Travis Bickle types to talk to themselves in the mirror. So just treat it like a literal live journal, writing and erasing in real time.
