one of my favorite activities
When I was 13 I started making friends on Xanga - some of who have become my closest long term friends IRL. I think it’s neat that something as simple as a shared love for a band can spawn such deep long lasting friendships that take you who knows where.
There was a 10 year gap in there though. It's nice to know you can reconnect with people after your lives take different paths.
As far as friendships without gaps, 14 years.
I was thinking about my friendship with nunjournal (who went to the same school as me when we were kids but we actually met online) and I wondered how long we’ve even known each other. then I remembered the first time we ever hung out we saw Scott Pilgrim vs. The World so it’s been 14 years!!! just a Babadook and her beloved friend ❤️
