When having a panic attack and/or wave of anxiety breaking over you I recommend grounding yourself in your senses. Even using your fingers to root what you say in your head. Puts up thumb, I can feel my feet hurting from standing all day. Puts up pointer finger, I can hear...Put up middle, I can taste...Puts up ring finger, I can smell...Puts up pinky, I can see...Usually do what you see last as this works best with eyes closed if possible. Another emergency measure is popping something with an intensely strong flavor. War heads work great. If you don't want to mess with candy, hot sauce directly on your tongue works too. Hope you find some relief!

Other than naproxen or ibuprofen and caffeine, here are some of mine that usually help: - ice cap/pack on head - sleep and/or darkness (sunglasses otherwise) - hair tugging (like another rec said!) - gua sha - hot shower - staying hydrated and avoiding excess sugar - ginger tea or ginger hard candies to help with nausea - OTC allergy meds - some people swear by exercise but that rarely works for me, always worth trying if you’re up for it though - orgasm - forcing myself to snack even if the migraine is making me nauseous (goldfish crackers are great for this)

It may not work, but in my little peanut brain I simply gaslight myself until I’m not having allergy symptoms. After all, the mind IS a powerful thing. Imagine being uncontrollably itchy right now. Now imagine cool, silky water flowing over your skin to soothe it. If all else fails I go home and shower to ”reboot.”

Drink lots of water. Eat something with less carbs more protein and fat. Coffee obviously. Try to get a short legs up the wall meditation if you can or even just a quiet moment resting your eyes. I like to use a cold sheet mask but if you don’t have any rip a paper towel into a few pieces, soak them in water, put them in the freezer and then plaster them onto your face to cover most of it… feels soooo good

Sometimes you’ve been hustling everyday for a while and your body gives you a very strong signal of “not so fast buddy” and you have to spend the day oscillating from the bed to the couch until you’ve recharged. Happens every 3 months or so, however there’s no shame in your sole accomplishment being washing your hair. Listen to the body!

2021 I chopped my bangs and shoulder length hair into a mullet w/microbangs, and it was the best haircut for me and hella functional. Great to workout in, good on a windy day, looks better the dirtier. Unfortunately not too long after I saw mullets cropping up all over and rather than letting the hockey hair be watered down I cut off the long part. Sort of regret it, but the bright orange French bob I have now is fine.
