this is my favorite novel and makes me feel all warm inside. i love how bittersweet it is in its portrayal of fuckups and forgiveness and trust in others and changing as a person but not as much as youd like to. profoundly human and beautiful.

Wonderful book. Steinbeck‘s observations about the marine biology expedition he and his friend Ed Ricketts made in 1940 off the coast of California = a fascinating, thoughtful & quietly moving meditation on life itself, really. I love this book

We might be in the golden era of running shoes. Actually we might be on the decline from it on second thought. But the running shoes of today are not the running shoes of 10 years ago. And they’re not the running shoes of four years ago. Let me know if you need help picking a running shoe!
