LEUCHTTURM1917 journals (their bold font, not mine). I have been journaling since I was a dramatic pre-teen and ive landed on this brand perhaps forever. Colors are amazing, you can choose the paper lining that you want, different sizes, often sold in your local bookstore etc etc etc

was talking to my friend whose also a diary/journal enthusiast and rec’d my fav brand of journals…. Peter Pauper Press!! gold lined pages, creamy thick but not too thick pages that are DIVINE to write on and never bleed (minus occasional sharpie use). the covers are also so pretty!! been using these journals for years and def will continue to! also lotsa great sizes

I draw /paint/ collage a lot in my journals so I am very particular about paper - this is my very favorite journal, it’s well built and the paper is thick enough to withstand all sorts of mediums without warping/bleeding to the other side. They have them in several different sizes too

Storytime: I was on the search for a nice leather journal that I could refill— as a grad gift to myself, because I’m a lifelong writer & I rotate between 2-4 different journals— and I fell in LOVE with the Paper Republic/Louise Carmen trifold style! Only thing is I wasn’t willing to pay $300 for what was basically a sheet of vegetable tanned leather that you could get anywhere and some fancy cords lol Sadly I didn’t have leather suppliers in my area to make my own BUT I found an Etsy seller that made leather goods, including A5 sized journals— came out to be $70 including shipping & tax and it is by far the best thing I’ve ever bought. The leather+stone color+cord color was part of the customization with no extra charge, and the charms at the spine were made by me using some necklaces I no longer used :)
