Uncanny, awkward, goofy movie. I feel like if I tell you any more you won’t appreciate it for its true beauty. explores themes of abandonment, familial bonds, financial struggle, and self awareness in a really simple, analogical way.
Pt 1 of my Richard Jenkins Double Feature A surreal film about a family of scammers whose lives get turned upside down when they welcome someone new into their lives. I can see this movie being too odd for many people but I found it to be a really beautiful story about affection and neglect.
Most special movie of all time. Yes it’s cheesy and idealized. yes the characters are all sort of bad people. But it’s very magical and special to me okay
