i know this is so basic but i always get the most "out there" movie recs from talking to friends irl who particularly love movies or from total strangers in casual conversation like i will be like "i love bunnies : )" and someone will be like oh have u ever seen <obscure movie that has a bunny in it>? i swiftly add the new movie to my list. art professors especially will do this from what i remember of my time in art school but this happens to me with shocking frequency at most social events like it literally happened yesterday!!
works particularly well after watching a movie with a friend who insists on saying stuff like “film”, after someone shows you a song etc, looking at an ingredients list, a stray dog appears
when someone you like starts talking about a movie you hate and have hundreds of bullet points in your brain about why it sucks but you just smile politely and say you haven’t seen it but yea it sounds really cool!! let me write down the name so I can watch it ♡
i have my dream job, live in my dream city, love my friends, love my wardrobe, love my apartment... sometimes the bliss hits me all at once. i have so much to be grateful for!! :'3
