if you're going out just do a light hydrating mist and dab into skin. if skin is still screaming dry, do a little dab of AM moisturizer, but all of this really depends if you're staying put for the night or stepping out if you're staying in go for gold with the PM moisturizer

Another certified skincare girlie here to say use that PM moisturizer after your late afternoon or evening showers! Usually the difference in what makes a product nighttime/bedtime/PM is there are active ingredients that are sun sensitive (and even then, most -but not all- of them are fine if you wear a good spf with) . So you can apply it whenever makes sense with your showering/washing your face, if you're done being out in the sun, it def doesn’t have to be *right* before bed 🧖‍♀️

i keep hearing this on tiktok from dermatologists and others and have to cosign as a lazy person who does not do much for her skin (mine is oily for reference). tbh it is in amazing shape and i admittedly do very little. in the morning i wash (avene cleanance), moisturize (avene hydrance - light + the laneige lip sleep mask but i use it when i wake up as well), and apply spf (elta md). at night i consider myself accomplished if i do anything at all tbh. i often sleep in my makeup from the day. if i do anything, i will just remove my makeup (lancome), tone (cosrx but likely switching to laneige soon), and moisturize (laneige water bank cream and lip sleep mask). something important that i learned on reddit last year is to always moisturize while your skin is wet. i am not rly particular about the specifics of this so if my face is still wet after washing i will just use that, otherwise i apply an essence (i use the one from philosophy). anyway according to me, all u have to really do every day is cleanse, moisturize, and protect, but im truly not an authority on this so if u have a dermatologist or similar source listen to them!!

Living at altitude, and especially as it gets colder, it takes some effort to avoid turning into a dried husk. So, every night I’m applying artificial tears, irrigating my nose with saline spray, slugging on top of a thin layer of emu oil, and finishing off with a thick lip balm. By morning, everything has absorbed and my skin is looking/feeling bouncy vs desiccated.

less attachment to identity markers and more-sensory driven living/being. staying conscious and in touch with our core essence and saying yes to life when the forces that be make it very easy to say no and cut ourselves off from others and the rest of the world. embodying this truth can ignite a sense of freedom and liberation that is a sexy balm...if you are into that kinda thing

nothing short of a spiritual advisor. here he is illuminating a truth I believe we all feel to be true when down and out but often forget/neglect out of allegiance to self-pity or the traps of misery. this could almost read as a hallmark card quote, but it exists elsewhere...so by default, it is its own thing. I do not mean to be sentimental about suffering— but people who cannot suffer can never grow up, can never discover who they are.
