you maybe know this but posting jic: Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange just came out and it’s kind of a sequel to There, There?? I’ll be honest, haven’t read it yet and trying to avoid reviews, but it’s on my stack. Exit West by Mohsin Hamid is fantastic. The story of two refugees fleeing an unnamed country, but has some elements of magical realism that really hit hard for me. short, but powerful. Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel does the multiple narrators/characters intertwining thing so well. still think about this one a lot.

Grab either of his short story collections (Stories of Your Life and Others, Exhalation) and you'll have a smorgasbord of amazing sci-fi and speculative fiction.
