1. I love that you canā€™t see how many followers people have. 2. I love that your profile has 1 picture and that this app is about WORDS and not photos. I think itā€™s cool that I dontā€™t really know what people posting look like, besides the one angle in their profile pic. (Assuming I donā€™t go stalk them on insta) (guilty!!!) 3. I feel like the recs really are staying as recs and not just all becoming tweets. Thatā€™s cool.

What I like the most about this place is that I can finally share all the useful information taking up space in my brain. šŸ‘šŸ™Œ

one of the worst features of many social media apps i think is the ability to see like/follow counts, because even if you donā€™t care about it itā€™s still kind of shoved in your face on those apps and definitely in the dominant/popular culture thereā€™s this perception of follows/likes are an achievement of some kind. i really like that beyond the straightforward trending users/recs feature (which rotates pretty regularly, plus i think it still captures the fun of being like ā€œhell yeah this post is a bangerā€), there isnā€™t any way to tell what or who is ā€œpopularā€ or ā€œsuccessfulā€ or whatever else on this app, nor any incentive to try to be those things as a user in general i just think it leads to more natural and genuine interactions between users, because the only thing we can see about each other is our little bios, mutuals, and our recs which are the whole point of being on here anyway! so thank you to the people making this app for making pi.fyi that kind of space through features like this!!

I like this app because I can actually post what I want. I don't feel the need to rewrite my posts 200 times, or edit pictures. Hate comments are a thing of the past. I don't sit there looking at how many likes my posts are getting, and I no longer check to see how many followers I have consistently. I can simply post what I enjoy and find people who have common interests. I love it.

- Loving the early-internet vibe aesthetically and spiritually. In the latter sense, appreciate the democratic nature of the ā€˜everyoneā€™ tab - it feels wild and thrilling in the way of an aol chat space. - In the same vein, mildly suspicious of the user spotlights; one of the reasons I left IG in favor of PI was the feeling that I was being fed paid or preferred content and it felt yuck. Popularity contests are out. - Would be more inclined to pay for pro if there was some guarantee/agreement that the money was going towards keeping the platform ad-free *forever*. - I like how it can function as a source of recommendations/aspirational user-generated content *and* as a personal mini- blog/collage of interests. I think that keeping its purpose flexible in this way would be smart. Suspect folks are burnt out on likes and follows and promotion, but love to digitally scrapbook towards self-actualization. - Big yes to the ā€˜askā€™ feature, enjoy when theyā€™re wacky, and hope it remains central to the concept. Would maybe be more encouraged to engage upon opening the app if new, randomized questions were up top instead of recs.

These are my favorite food (only slight hyperbole). I recommend, in no order: -Kettle brand -Kettle brand air fried -7/11 -Lay's Kettle Cooked These chips are so strong that they will burn your tongue. They are chemical perfection that make the systems in my body dance. They are so rock and roll. No matter what size the bag, I will probably finish the bag. I always eat the folded ones first, and then move to the unfolded ones.

If youā€™re within an hour walk from home, you should just walk home. I understand taking public transit or an Uber there to be on time, but youā€™re not rushing to get home. Thus, walk.
