tiff just finished reading and beautifully written! i particularly love how you touch upon the movie’s relationship with south london, especially when you talk about the movie’s power to preserve and immortalize in the face of gentrification. i think i’m due for a rye lane rewatch… do you have letterboxd btw? would love to see what other movies you watch :3

memoryquilt i’m glad you liked it <3 i watched it for the first time with a directo’s q&a right after and she mentioned how she considered her work as a sort of archival practice in the face of gentrification and it sealed the deal for me. yes i do have letterboxd 🤓, my @ is tiffanywatches and i’m soo due for a rye lane rewatch
